A first half hat trick in the first seventeen minutes condemned Droylsden to their heaviest home defeat of the season in last night’s Evo Stick Division One North clash at the Butcher’s Arms.

The Bloods were totally outplayed in the first forty five minutes by a Northwich Victoria side whose victory saw them go back to the top of the league.

A goalkeeping lapse by Craig Ellison saw the home team fall behind after five minutes as Jordan Williams latched onto the error and the same player scored a second with a long range shot minutes later as Ellison appeared to misjudge letting the ball through his hands just under the cross bar.

Williams completed his Hat Trick on seventeen minutes after another defensive lapse left him one on one with the keeper.

Northwich continued to pile on the pressure and from a corner, centre half Ryan Astles nodded in to make it four and two minutes later Iain Howard made it five.

Droylsden scored a consolation after good work on the left by Moke set up Brandon Zibaka but the game was already over as a contest.

Substitute Joshua Amis scored the sixth for the visitors on seventy five minutes during a second half which saw a better performance for the home team, but these are worrying times for Dave Pace’s team.

The defeat leaves the Bloods second from bottom, five points adrift of safety with just one win from nine games.
