A Domaine Rouse hat trick sealed a much needed win for Droylsden as the snow fell on the East Yorkshire coast for Droylsden.

The Bloods gave a debut to loan signing Steve James from Preston in goal and were forced into a last minute change up front as Dominic Smith suffered a back spasm in the warm up to be replaced by Carlos Rouse.

Defending facing a strong wind in difficult conditions, the Bloods took the lead early through Rouse with a calm finish from the edge of the area.

At the other end Steve James was called into action producing a brilliant save from Bradshaw while a Carlos Rouse shot was cleared off the Scarborough line by Holden.

The home team equalised on seventeen minutes, James losing the ball in difficult conditions under a challenge from Gary Bradshaw, the ball running to Ryan Blott who made no mistake into an empty Droylsden net to score.

The goal put Scarborough in charge for much of the rest of the first half but failed to convert their chances, both Bradshaw and Forrester putting efforts wide of the post and a Peat shot cleared off the line but the Bloods went in level at half time.

Scarborough took the lead on 57 mins with Jamie Forrester turning in the box to give James no chance but the Bloods were level just three minutes later with a bullet header from Domaine Rouse finding the top corner.

A second excellent save from James denied Jamie Forrester the opportunity to put the home side back in front but from that point on the game turned

With the snow now falling Lee O’Brien came close for the Bloods his shot tipped round the post by Rob Zand in the Boro goal and Dominic Rouse rounded the goalkeeper only to fire into the side netting.

The Bloods brought on Dan Parkinson for Carlos Rouse and took the lead on 73 mins as Lee O’Brien’s shot took a deflection and Hasler Cregg should have made it four minutes later with the goal at his mercy.

The fourth wasn’t long coming with Rouse claiming the match ball rolling it into the Boro net with nine minutes left on the clock.

The win pushes the Bloods up to seventeenth spot in the table with seventeen points from eighteen games.

They entertain Kendal Town next Saturday at the Butcher’s arms.
